Process FMEA manual has been revised and AIAG & VDA jointly released new edition of the manual. Now onwards new methodology is expected to be followed by all automotive OEMs and suppliers. Following are the major changes in the process.
1. Seven step methodology
2. New format
3. 5 T Concept
4. Risk Priority Number (RPN) replaced by Action Priority (AP)
5. New Rating Tables for Severity, Occurrence & Detection.
